Loud Applause is a bi-monthly (6 issues in a year) dance magazine with a noble thought and a professional initiative to enrich every dancer's journey. The magazine was started in 2014 by Neha Muthiyan. To become a high grade performer, every artist should have knowledge regarding the allied fields. As the focus here is the dancer, Loud Applause offers insightful write-ups which throw light on the aspects of music, theatre; various dance forms, dancer's health and a gamut of informative pieces.The magazine aims at keeping the dancer well-informed and have comprehensive understanding of the performing arts world. Legendary artists, renowned gurus, dance critics, health experts as well as the 'gen-next' contribute with their thoughts to the magazine. With plenty of activities happening in the dance circle around India, the magazinecovers the same with event photos and brief shared by people through its 'Show time' section. In a short span of 3 years,Loud Applause has reached readers across the globe with subscribers from Pune, Mumbai, Nasik, Gujarat, USA, Australia and Canada. The membership base is expanding continuously. The magazine is now available in digital format to enable even bigger readership.

Knowledge is most useful when liberated and shared.

Meet the Editor

Neha Muthiyan ( B.H.Sc (FRM),M.A KATHAK,NRITYALANKAR - Graded Mumbai Doordarshan Artist ) skilfully handles the roles of Editor, Publisher, Kathak Dancer, Teacher, Choreographer and of course her family duties. Neha, who possesses a special flair for"nrityaabhinaya", has received training from Guru Shambhavi Dandekar.

In 2014, she started the magazine with thought of enriching every dancer's journey through useful information, wisdom and art. Neha's determination and ability to communicate with art professionals, academicians, students and dance lovers has helped her in taking Loud Applause to a global platform. It has received support and appreciation from dignitaries from the dance fraternity. Neha is awarded the Kanak Bhushan Award by Brahmnaad Academy, Mumbai and Kala Vikas YuvaPuraskar by Pt.Bhimsen Joshi Foundation, Gadag, Karnataka. She is a Mumbai Doordarshan graded artist and has performed in dance/music festivals and events in Pune, Mumbai, Kolhapur and Malaysia.

Neha imparts authentic Kathak training to children and adults under her own banner called Kathak Pathshala through its two centres in Pune.

  • Choreographed and performed on ‘Pujarini’, a Bengali poem by Guru Rabindranath Tagore on account of his 155th birth anniversary organized by Upasana foundation.

  • Performed at Dr.Sitara Devi Nartan Katta, Thane organized by Dr.Manjiri Deo of Shree Ganesh Cultural Academy Performed and choreographed a thematic presentation “Chaos to Chorus”, based on dance and yoga on account of International Yoga Day.
